01934 881332We are commissioned by our (local) NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to provide NHS services for planned care.
To deliver these services we must be compliant with both national and locally set quality requirements. This means that we report on a set of quality and performance measures every month to ensure that we are meeting the required clinical standards. The team at Somerset Surgical Services is dedicated to ensuring that our services are safe and offer high-quality clinical care. Our Medical Advisory Committee plays an active role in monitoring and auditing the care that we provide.
Somerset Surgical Services will strive to work with partner agencies to keep adults at risk, children, and young people safe. Being safe from harm is a basic human right. Vulnerable people may need assistance and advocates to ensure their safety and well-being. We will work to ensure that systems and processes are in place to promote the safeguarding and well-being of all patients.
We adhere to nationally recognised safe staffing standards that drive and uphold the delivery of safe clinical services.
At Somerset Surgical Services, we are committed to creating a safe and rewarding environment for all our employees. This means we have a robust safeguarding policy to ensure everyone is treated properly and a whistle-blowing policy so our staff can raise any confidential concerns.
